Abstract

Explored area covers the location of Rakovica and Plitvička jezera County, that includes 68 communities. Research object in this thesis are changes which touristic activity of National park Plitvice lakes causes in the conditional area of Plitvice region. This traditional agriculture area has been through many transformations from 1949, when National park was acclaimed. Impact factors that cause spatial changes are arrival and staying of tourists, accommodation, their mobility, traffic roads etc. With more than 900 thousands visitors per year, tourism importance for socio-economic, functional and physiognomic structure is inevitable. Based on statistical information’s, analyses in changes of number of inhabitants, employment in sectors and number of tourist arrivals and staying’s for chosen periods of time, were made.
