Abstract

This Master Thesis analyzes the level of pupils’ success in applying geographical knowledge and skills at the end of the third and fourth cycle of educational. This research is obtained in accordance with the expected achievements in geography. It criticizes the curriculum for primary and secondary schools, NCC, and test catalogs, but also on the test used in obtaining results. Levels of pupils’ success are shown by educational cycle and type of school. Comparison is made on the results of different types of schools that participated in research (High School - Trade School), educational cycle (end of the third and fourth cycles of education), the level of applied of geographical knowledge - geographical skills and General Geography - Geography of Croatia. After data analysis, proposed changes in teaching and learning strategies are given, and research questions and hypotheses are analyzed.
