Abstract

Transportation is one of the most important human activity, and without it world today cannot function anymore. Therefore this thesis tries to see how the transportation is presented to the people on whose the world remains, that is to the students, throughout school textbooks as an instrument with which the student during their education meet. This will be achieved throughout the following pages, 92 tables and 47 analyzed and compared textbooks and analyzed teaching plans and programs as a fundamental starting point for the development of school textbooks. In thesis, attention will be focused on presence of types of transportation, transport routes, and transport hubs, adherence to the principle of actuality and plainness. It will be found that the majority of teaching plans and programs needs to change and update, that all textbooks have generally satisfactory representation, and that while for a certain number of textbooks is required only minor modifications, the principle of actuality and plainness for several textbooks, throughout a whole textbook, is not satisfactory and it is necessary to change them completely.
