Abstract

The Federal Republic of Germany is the most populated country in Europe and for centuries is participating in migrations. An emphasis of this Master Thesis is on immigration to Federal Republic of Germany. The main migration flows after World War II and the reason of their occurance have also been studied and presented. This Master Thesis also deals with regional placement and assimilation of immigrants in the Federal Republic of Germany. Turks, Italians, Poles, Greeks and Croats are the most frequent ethnic groups. Each of these groups in this Master Thesis are represented separately by using graphic images and the newest data from the Bureau of Statistics of the Federal Republic of Germany.
