Abstract

The graduation thesis discusses the influence of sports and recreational tourism, namely extreme sport activities in Omis. Determines whether it is sports and recreational tourism developed as a selective forms of tourism, and the extent to which he represented in the tourist industry. Special attention is given to rafting, as the largest, and most influential sport activity, which is the basis for a shift away from mass, summer, spa to sports and recreational tourism. Besides rafting, several other sports affects the rapid development of Omis as a unique center of adventure sports, not only in Croatia but also in Europe. Analyzes the number of tourists which have primary motive in selecting Omis, is active rest with going to the extreme sports. From the data obtained, and the survey can be seen as extreme sports have become the most important part of the tourist attraction in Omis, and with the addition of natural beauty and cultural - historical heritage, this small town can become one of the most important tourist resorts on the coast.
