Main part of the paper examines the results of a survey conducted in representative elementary schools. On the basis of these results spatial distribution of students enrolled in a particular educational institution will be shown. Furthermore, factors that influence distribution of students and parental choice of schools for their children will be examined. Spatial distribution will be compared to the actual enrollment area and this paper will present the number of children who attend a specific school but don't live in its enrollment area. Each school will be evaluated and compared so we can determine which factors influence spatial distribution of their students and how. In the final part the paper will try to show the best direction for further development of the system and will put forward its own suggestions for improvement and customization of the enrollment area in order to achieve its optimal structure.
