This paper explores the demographic characteristics of the City of Kutina (Kutina settlements with 23 settlements of which the largest settlements according to the census 2011. were Kutina (13 735 people), Repušnica (1838 people) and Husain (971 people). The basic methodology used for writing this paper is actually ananalysis of the scientific literature and statistical sources including the data displayed by creating specific graphical illustrations and tables. For the purposes of work field, a survey was conducted in the village of Kutina and 500 questionnaires were collected to a random sample (200 surveys collected before relocating Reception for asylum seekers and 300 after moving the Reception Centre for Asylum Seekers). The result of the research have shown changes in the attitudes and opinions of the respondents, from the great dissatisfaction with the accommodation at Reception Centre in Kutina and reduced security to a feeling of "relief" after moving Reception. According to majority Reception Centre for asylum adversely affected the quality of life in Kutina and thus led citizens of Kutina to a disadvantage position.
