The Republic of Croatia joining the EU has great potential for development in the economic, market, transit, food, industrial, infrastructural terms, etc. In order to achieve a more advanced member countries, Croatia has the funds available to the European Union, which exist in order to minimize the differences between countries member. Funds allocated by the European Commission, which based on statistical region conducts research and allocates money to projects that meet its requirements. Croatian division of the NUTS 2 level in continental and Adriatic Croatia is statistically impossible to track real progress County, and a higher chance of getting funds have more developed regions. The poorest and least developed regions GDP is automatically increased because the calculation of the average entering the City of Zagreb, whose GDP thanks to the new division fell. Using statistical data such as employment, GDP and population is considered more optimal division of Croatian at NUTS 2 level to greater homogeneity region, decentralization, balanced development.
