Abstract

This work describes the basic hydrographic characteristics of the Ilova river basin that are necessary for understanding of hydrological processes. The analytical part of the work it analyzes the basic physicalgeographic and sociogeographic runoff conditions in order to establish a connection between these and runoff regimes. The stream flow regime includes the way of supply and distribution of characteristic river discharge in the river during the hydrological or calendar year. For stream flow regime analysis, module coefficients (Pardee) obtained on the basis of average annual or monthly flow values for five hydrological stations on the river Ilova for period of 1958 - 2011 were used. Finally, recent changes in Ilova river basin flow regime were analysed and a connection between the changes in precipitation regime and runoff regime were established.
