This survey of small mammal fauna in the area of Nature Park Papuk on Papuk Mountain was done during autumn in 2011. To gain more complete overview and relations of the small mammal species we used transect method with pitfall traps. The traps were activated in 6 characteristic forest communities which can be divided to alder, oak and beech forests. A total of 5 species were recorded, counting 41 animals caught. One species is recorded for the first time in Nature Park. The catch data set was combined with literature data, which could only be done for alder and beech forest (includes beech- fir forests). Expanded data set after comparison concluded that the biggest similarity was within communities on Papuk Mountain, than with dinaridic beech forests and something lower with oak forest fauna. The biggest faunistic difference was with Austrian and Czech alder forest.
