Abstract

The water quality was examined by monitoring of physical-chemical and microbiological parameters pool water in Sveti Martin. Water analysis was performed on 46 samples collected from 11 pools in the period of one year. Based on the measured value and the defined maximum allowed values of certain parameters, was determined the safety of water. According to the pollution type, the majority of the medically faulty samples belong to physical – chemical pollution, particularly to the increased nitrate concentration, when based on the pollution location the majority of the medically faulty samples were found in therapeutic pools, while the smallest numbers of the medically faulty samples were found in jacuzzis. Microbiological analysis showed that the most defective medical samples for total coliform bacteria are also in the therapeutic pools.
