Biodiversity and distribution of springtails that live in caves on Mt. Velebit was researched. Material from collection of Croatian Biospeleological Society that was collected on field trips from 1999 till 2011 was analyzed. In 114 caves on Mt. Velebit 24 taxa of springtails from 11 families were found. Out of them 8 are troglobitic, 3 are troglophilic and 14 are trogloxenic species. The most dominant troglobitic species is Pseudosinella heteromurina followed by troglobitic species from familie Onychiuridae. Heteromurus nitidus is most common species in caves among troglophiles while among trogloxenes it is Lepidocyrtus sp. For each species distribution is shown on a map, caves where those species were found are listed and ecological classification is made. Four new taxa for science were recorded.
