Abstract

Physical geography as a discipline offers an integrative approach and a broad scientific exploratory basis necessary for understanding landscape. The applicability of the discipline can be realized in the presentation of landscape through educational trails. Such an approach entails that landscape should be presented such as it basically is - an indivisible union of biological and geological diversity stamped with antgropogenic influence. Scientific literature, among wich the most noted works are based on an analysis of past and present natural processes and the socio-economic factors of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago imporant for the evaluation of the entire landscape, and general rules and guidelines for making educational trails provided the basis of the data used for the final suggestion of the location and content of the educational trail. The location and content of the educational trail are based on the ability to showcase those parts of the landscape that can show the most natural, cultural and historic elements in relatively small distance. More specifically, the location chosen for the educational trails is on the Pernat peninsula.
