Abstract

The thesis describes the approach to the research and interpretation of ecological concept and to the representation of ecological content in geography teaching in elementary schools. For the purpose of this research survey was conducted; it included 58 elementary and high schools geography teachers in the City of Zagreb for comparison reasons. Teaching plan and program for elementary school was analyzed and an indirect observation in four training schools was made. Based on the results an overview of the ways in which teachers teach ecological content and the representation of those contents in geography teaching were obtained.
