Abstract

Research on zooplankton and physical-chemical parameter analysis of reservoirs Bačica, Javorica and Lapovac II was performed in the period from April to October in 2011. A total of 7 species of freshwater Crustaceans were determined; 5 Cladocera: Daphnia sp., Ceriodaphnia sp., Bosmina longirostris (Müller, 1776 ), Moina micrura (Kurz,1874), Leptodora kindtii (Focke,1844) and 2 Copepoda: Thermocyclops oithonoides (Sars,1863), Eudiaptomus gracilis (Sars, 1862). In reservoirs Lapovac II and Bačica Copepoda dominated with exceptions; during August in Bačica, and May - June in reservoir Lapovac II. In this period dominant group was Cladocera. In Javorica reservoir dominant group was Cladocera. The highest zooplankton abundance was determined in reservoir Lapovac II (396 individuals L−1) and the lowest in Bačica reservoir (2.1 individuals L−1). In reservoir Bačica summer stratification was present. Spatial and temporal changes in zooplankton community were induced by variation of abiotic and biotic factors.
