Abstract

The thesis deals with the problem of computer use in the classroom in a primary school to produce graphical materials, and application of indirect graphical methods in teaching. The purpose of the study is to determine the state of the practice and to show is there a need to improve the education of future teachers of geography, and intensify future professional development of teachers of geography in Međimurje County. The method of direct observation without involvement in the teaching process of geography students and teachers of geography in the primary school Mursko Središće was conducted. This survey examined the attitudes of teachers about working on the computer and work with various graphical materials. Students of geography more often created illustrations and increasingly used computer in the classroom in comparison to teachers of geography in the primary school Mursko Središće. Most teachers of geography in Međimurje County are qualified for the computer use in teaching of geography. By applying the graphical material they achieve better learning outcomes for students, which frequently come to conclusions and are motivated to learn all the content of teaching geography.
