Abstract

Even today, despite all research, knowledge and techology, we know very little about the interior of Earth. Because the same interior is the key to revelation and explanation of geological processes that take place on the surface, there are many theories about her structure. Iceland is the only place on Earth where magmatism from inside meets the one on the outside, and that makes it the perfect place for studiying all processes which made Earth's surface the way it is.
