Abstract

It is obvious that increasing number of cities, industries and change in life style have changed the air quality. Increased concentrations of air pollutants are often threats to human health and ecosystems. In addition to the emissions of the industry, weather conditions often affect the increased concentration of gases in the air. This paper aims to determine the concentration of pollutants (NH3, SO2 and H2S) in the arbitrarily selected time period from 01. January to the 1st April 2006. Fluctuations in concentrations are associated with meteorological conditions (temperature and relative humidity). Concentrations are in inverse relationship with changes in temperature and are proportional in relation to relative humidity. Often were the concentrations several times higher than the limit values prescribed by the Law on Air Protection.
