Abstract

Sea turtles are one of the oldest vertebrates on Earth. Although they`ve been able to adapt to different types of environment through periods of time, they`ve also became very sensitive too, especially when modern anthropological influences are taken in count. People are harmful to them in many different kinds of way and are one to blame for their hard struggle for survival. Due to the small number of individuals, each of our influences leaves a huge mark on the population density with which they are struggling or even can`t handle any more. In addition to mandatory environmental awareness of citizens for positive results and for improveness of sea turtle numerical status is especially important to educate fishermen who are in common contact with turtles. Tortoise often depend just on knowledge of fisherman and their morality. Although much of resources are invested in improving the equipment, institutions and although safeguards are tightening, turtles are still in a bad position because of urbanization and pollution of the sea, as well as the commercialization of their meat, eggs and shells. When we take in consideration how their protection and preservation becomes even more complicated when we remember how their life cycle is complicated and migrations longlasting.
