Science learning in schools should motivate children to get acquainted with the world around them, to learn how to live according to the laws of nature and to learn how to help people around them. This research was conducted in 2006./2007. in primary school «A. B. Šimić« in Zagreb on a pattern of 64 sixth grade children. The projects were designed to ensure learning in nature, independent work, usage of different sources of information, and cooperation with family members. Data gathered during this research were analized on several levels: as general information about children, as analize of research acception, project analyzes, written test analyzes, analyze of success of learning process, and motivation and interest for the Unit Deciduous forrest. Results have shown that implementation of active form of learning is excellent accepted and provides the children a view to a new forms and meanings of learning, provides developement of new abilities and independence, as well as developement of new skills. Tgrough the developement of conciousness and capability to resolve the problems children became more motivated for learning process and more succesful in learning.
