Abstract

The cephalopods are a group that stands out from the rest of invertebrates by many features, and especially by their intelligence. It was found, through scientific research, that they rely heavily on learning, even observational learning. Their hiding skill is unmatched, and predation techniques brought to perfection. Cephalopod orientation ability is admirable and some of them communicate on elaborate level. By their intellectual capabilities they are approached to mammals and birds, groups phylogenetically distantly related.
