Abstract

The study of aggregate made of crushed silicomanganese (SiMn) slag can be considered a pioneering work as no information can be found that this material has ever been manufactured and used anywhere in the world. The aggregate has been tested according to European standards for asphalt and concrete, and in keeping with additional technological and environmental regulations for industrially produced materials. It has been established that the aggregate produced in the Šibenik-based Electrode and Ferroalloy Plant (TEF) is a goodquality material, which is why it has been used in asphalt production for the road Vinjani Donji - Vinjani Gornji.
