Abstract

Medulin municipality is the southernmost part of the Istrian County where, due to natural attractions, in the 1960’s began to develop tourism. Until then the population was decreasing. With the growth of tourism there was a rise in employment within fields connected to tourism and an overall rise in the population. As a causal effect from the growth of tourism there where physiognomic changes in the settlements where touristic infrastructure is dominant as apartments for leisure and recreation and apartments meant for renting out to tourists.
