Abstract

v3 integrin is a transmembrane heterodimeric receptor that mediate cell to cell and cell to ECM communication. It has an important role in adhesion, proliferation, migration and cell survival, as well as drug resistance. Focus of this research were human tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell line Cal27 and integrin 3 stably transfected clone Cal27-2B1, with de novo expression of integrin v3, overexpression of integrin v5, decreased cell migration and increased drug resistance. Proteomes of these cell lines were differentialy analized to get an insight into mechanisms responsible for observed changes, and proteins with different expressions depending on integrin v3 expression were identified.
