Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is a detailed introduction to the difficulties associated with dyslexia and dyscalculia in teaching mathematics. The thesis begins with clarifying the concepts associated with dyslexia and dyscalculia and elaborate the causes and forms of these problems. Below is explained who and how can alleviate these difficulties and stresses the importance of joint cooperation of parents, teachers, speech therapists and psychologists. Teacher's task is immensely important and therefore the completion of this work is dedicated to teaching and evaluation methods, as well as activities which mathematics teacher can help the student who has dyslexia and/or dyscalculia, and thus facilitate his education and make it as simple as possible.
