Abstract

It is music that gives our life meaning, so that we can find in it, both comfort and joy. The most popular of instruments is surely the guitar. There are many parameters that affect the timbre of the guitar, such as the type of wood used, the type of strings, the shape of its neck, ect. and as a result, no two guitars will ever sound the same. This can also be seen on the frequency spectrum, where the superposition gives the characteristic timbre, a vital part of any guitar tone. Researching the links between mathematics, physics and music, one can get a better insight into the structure and background of music.
