Abstract

Aspect-oriented software development is a software development technology that seeks new modularization of software systems in order to isolate secondary functions from the main program’s business logic. Aspect-oriented software development focuses on the identification, specification and representation of cross-cutting concerns and their modularization into separate functional units as well as their automated composition into a working system. This results in better software product hence reducing development, maintenance and evolution costs. This thesis discusses main features of aspect-oriented software development. In addition, it presents PostSharp, application framework which supports aspect-oriented programming. In the final chapter, we have demonstrated how to develop application using aspect-oriented programming.
