Abstract

This graduate work contains course materials covered in the standard module called descriptive geometry, as a part of mathematics studies and course specific to civil engineering studies. A short overview of history of the descriptive geometry is given, and the topics covered are projections, sections, breaches, etc., in other words, general descriptive geometry topics needed in order to understand topics specific for engineering. Topics specific for civil engineering covered in this graduate work are oblique projections, roof surfaces, dimensioning and dimension lines drawing, terrains, coils and screws. There are solved examples specific for descriptive geometry in civil engineering studies as well as detailed descriptions of constructions and drawings made in the program of dynamic geometry, GeoGebra.
