Abstract

Seaports are a hub of maritime transport and places to connect with certain forms of land transport where loading is carried out, handling and unloading of cargo and passengers, but also performs the function of storage. An important seaport is the Dutch port of Rotterdam. With an average annual transportation of about 450 million tonnes, the European scale is the largest and most important port, and one of the world's most important. For Europe has a special meaning because the favorable geographic position in the northwest of the continent to the estuary of the River Rhine is the "front door" to its market, and waterway to the Black Sea supplies consumers across Europe.
