The increasing anthropogenic impacts on biodiversity have become worrisome. Man indiscriminating consumes resources without worrying about the sustainable management of nature. Particularly vulnerable area is the Great Barrier Reef, which provides shelter and food for thousands of different fish and invertebrates. Slightly disturbance to the balance can have serious consequences. The Reef is threathen by both, natural and social factors. In the thesis throughout analysing literature and cartographic sources will be processed negative impact of human activities on the biggest structure made by living organisms on the Earth - Great Barrier Reef.
