Abstract

One of the biggest causes of destabilisation the population of the community Đulovac is Homeland war which accelerated the negative demographic processes that have been in in the pre-war period affected community. War and post-war migrations caused a noticeable change in the ethnic structure of the population of the community; local Serbs emigrated in significant number and abandoned community was populated with Croats from Kosovo. Such a change of the ethnic structure reflected on all aspects of sustainable development of the economy (of assessment space resources), through demographic processes, the trend of transformation of the landscape and the environment to change the cultural identity of the area. Instead desirable (demographic) revitalization, change of the religious-ethnic structure caused further destabilization. That is the less favorable if we know that is a community with the features of rural periphery, characterized by numerous structural and dynamic problems. Dealing with these problems first demands the stabilization of population and cooperation of the total population of the municipality.
