The future in the medicine lies in early diagnosis and individually tailored treatment. Personalized medicine is a new approach to classify, understand, treat and prevent disease based on individual biological informations and enviromental differrences. Personalized medicine presents a transormation, from reactive medicine to proative medicine. An important consideration for personalized medicine is to provide the right medicine to the right patient at the right time. Personalized medicine takes into account the factors that can influence the development of a desease in a given individual, including not only genomic and biological factors but also the influence of the personal lifestyle. This work is dealing with the basic concepts and usage of personalized medicine. This paper presents techniques and concepts that enable us to tailor treatment of existing disorders, responde more rapidly on developing diseases and take preventive mesuares. The purpose is to explain the importance of moleculare diagnosis including pharmacogenetics, biomarkers and clinical usage of personalized medicine.
