Abstract

The paper by using GIS tools analyze changes in population Zadar County in the period since 1948. to 2001. year. Methods of spatial analysis in GIS (query, measurements, transformations, and methods of descriptive statistics) were identified and differentiated by changes in spatial distribution of population Zadar County with emphasis on changes in population and population density. Diversity of population is considered the basic geographic units of space and all the stronger polarization of development of the city of Zadar which results in further depopulation of the Zadar hinterland and islands.
