Abstract

This thesis consists of three major parts. In the first part we describe physical model of the beam and the way to simulate its deformation. After that we set up a system of equations that relates moments to deflection. By means of impedance we define natural frequencies and mode shapes as solutions of a generalized eigenvalue problem. In the second part we describe numerical method that solves generalized eigenvalue problem. Finally, in the third part we implement described method in programming software MATLAB and present obtained results.
