With this work the teritorry of the United States of America is enveloped for research. That country from the moment of its foundation dominates the world by the number of its immigrants, while America`s society is being shaped under the influence of continuous migration waves. Object of the research is Hispanic American community on the teritorry of the USA. From the beginning of the 20th century there were economic migrations from the area of Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico and other areas in Central and South America and with it they increased and enlarged existing Hispanic American community, as well as overall American society. This work will analyse geographic, socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the Hispanic American population in the USA, together, while it will also explore and define the growing influence of the Hispanic Americans in the American society. Thereat the focus of the research will be on the period after 1990 when Hispanic American immigration and residence in the USA entered a new and complex phase, charactarised by growing panhispanic identity, civic activism and political participation.
