Abstract

Within this paper, the morphometric features of the Papuk ridge have been analysed. Based upon the digital elevation model, raster layers of the slope angle, relief vertical dissection, slope aspect and slope curvature have been calculated. The valley network has been calculated using the Strahler method. The morphometric parameters listed above have been related and brought into relation with the structure and morphogenetic features of the Papuk ridge. For the purpose of the analysis of the morphometric parameters, the ArcGis 9.2 software developed by ESRI has been used, with its Spatial Analyst and 3D Spatial Analyst extensions.
